First Webby Honouree

Lichfield District Council’s website has been recognised as an Official Honouree by the 10th Annual Webby Awards, (to quote) a distinction recognising websites exhibiting remarkable achievement. Fancy.

The 10th Annual Webby Awards received a record number of entries from over 40 countries. Out of over 5,500 submitted entries, fewer than 20% received this honour and were deemed Official Honourees.

Sites are selected for recognition based on content, structure and navigation, visual design, functionality, interactivity and overall experience.

Stuart Harrison, Webmaster at Lichfield DC was, “thrilled that www.lichfielddc.gov.uk has been officially recognised as one of the best in the world by the Webby Awards.”

For a local council to be recognised along with the best of the private sector is an amazing achievement.
